Backup, data rescue, and recovery
Pricing depends on the case — contact us to discuss. Accessible-file backup or transfer must be distinguished from recovery of inaccessible or deleted information.
Prices include VAT. Hardware, storage media, and licenses are not included unless stated otherwise.
Data recovery assessment and billing conditions
The following conditions apply to assessment and recovery of inaccessible or deleted information. They do not apply to accessible-file backup or transfer, whose scope and price are agreed in advance.
- Feasibility assessment/diagnosis is chargeable even if the customer does not proceed.
- An approved recovery attempt with no success costs twice the diagnosis fee in total—not diagnosis plus twice that fee.
- Full or partial success is charged at the full agreed price.
- On success, diagnosis is included in the agreed total and credited if already paid.
- Partial success means recovering part of the information requested by the customer.
Accessible-file backup and transfer
Scope depends on the requested files, source and destination, device condition, and agreed actions. Recovery diagnosis and success-based billing rules do not apply to accessible-file transfer.
- Clarify the requested files, source, destination, and scope.
- Agree on the service and price before work begins.
- Perform the agreed transfer.
Recovery of inaccessible or deleted information
- Identify the files or folders that matter to the customer and the circumstances of lost access.
- Agree on the chargeable assessment before it is performed; an inquiry does not authorize paid work.
- Before an approved recovery attempt, explain the agreed scope and charges for no recovery, partial recovery, and full recovery.
- Partial recovery means recovering some of the information requested by the customer and is charged at the full agreed price.
- The outcome and charge follow the visible recovery rules above.
Explanations
What is the difference between backup/transfer and recovery?
Backup or transfer concerns files that remain accessible. Recovery concerns inaccessible or deleted information and requires a feasibility assessment and separate billing rules.
What information should the customer include?
Device or storage-medium type, what happened, which information is required, whether the device is still detected or accessible, and any previous attempts. These details help clarify the case but do not guarantee that recovery is feasible.
